17 managers of the State Enterprise “National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom” were awarded their certificates of completion. The program was designed jointly with the “Nuclear Power Sector Management Academy” of the NNEGC “Energoatom”. The program targeted development of the key managerial competencies which the future top managers of the Company would need under energy market liberalization and internationalization.

Prof. Iryna Tykhomyrova, the president of the MIM-Kyiv said, ‘”We invested our best intellectual resources and expertise into the program. Our professors know that Energoatom participants are well aware of the new knowledge value, keen on participating in the discussions, good at offering unique ideas and are very demanding intellectually. We are sure that we are having the future nuclear energy sector leaders in our classrooms.”

Yuri Nedashkovsky, NNEGC “Energoatom” CEO stressed that the program was unique, “We are having 18 Energoatom CEOs at the moment. They finished the first phase followed by the individual development plans.”

Consulting projects commissioned by the NNEGC “Energoatom” were, in fact, quality control indicators. Participants presented their results to the board which included both MIM-Kyiv faculty and NNEGC “Energoatom” board members. The program will be complemented by the internship programs outside the Company.

Serhii Tarakanov, deputy director (operation and modernization) said, “When I was studying I was thinking that most of our managers should take such program. We need to be adequate to the challenges so, a good education is a key.”
