MIM-KYIV ALUMNI STARTS THE NEW BUSINESS AND SUPPORTS THE ARMED FORCES OF UKRAINE

11 April 2022

Dmytro Pylypenko, a successful entrepreneur with a focus on security systems and a graduate of two MIM-Kyiv programs launched the new line after the war had started.

- After I had evacuated my family abroad and come back I did not know how I could help. People were talking about bulletproof vests' huge demand. I knew nothing about it at that time, Dmytro told us.

Foreign vests are expensive and difficult to export. Thus, starting home manufacturing was only logical. However, the domestic market lacked the appropriate steel for the highest protection gear or fourth class. So, Dmytro and his partners decided that 3rd class items were enough for most cases.

- Finding the steel is difficult because many countries started their production of bulletproofed gear. Besides, we are not having enough Russian bullets for testing. However, we are working under the limitations. We are quite aware that unless our vests must meet the requirements they are damaging to our military. So we are working hard to comply, Dmytro explained.

Besides military gear manufacturing, he is active in volunteering and re-launching the business.
