HOW TO ENTER GLOBAL MARKETS AND GAIN THE LEAD?

Global leadership and social intelligence were the focal points of discussion at the Management Café moderated by Oleksandr Sudarkin, MBA programs director, and Vsevolod Zelenin, business trainer, and coach to business leaders, CEO of ZeleninLab, and MIM-Kyiv visiting professor. Vsevolod has more than 25 years of practice in the US, Canada, Israel, and CIS countries.
Can an average Ukrainian CEO run a multinational? How to lead globally? Oleksandr Sudarkin wanted the participants to answer those questions. He also asked them to make up a checklist of the qualities and competencies of global leaders. The final list looked like that:
- Ability to delegate and coach;
- People’s development;
- Finding solutions;
- Flexibility;
- Transparent behavior in crisis;
- Reputation;
- Assuming responsibility for decisions;
- Learning and re-learning;
- Following the same rules;
- Bottom-up decision-making;
- Fluent English;
- Monitoring of the personal resources.
Vsevolod Zelenin discussed the social intellect concept as a sum of competencies that secure successful social interactions. He also talked about social escalator strategies. The audiences evaluated social intelligence strategies afterward. There are 8 strategies:Patronage;
- Trust;
- Knowledge;
- Politics;
- Army;
- Show notoriety;
- Sport;
Those who understand which strategies are more natural for them can reach hights in any profession.
