MIM-Kyiv Alumna Yulia Pavlenko Receives International Award for E-Export School Project

14 August 2023

Yulia Pavlenko, a graduate of the SE MBA program and Director of International Operations at Ukrposhta, has been honored with the Impact Award from the International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), as announced on the project's official website. She joins a distinguished group of seven Ukrainian representatives and 260 young leaders worldwide who have been recognized for their exceptional contributions in their respective fields. The Meridian International Center (the US) and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State jointly present this annual award, spotlighting influential catalysts for global change and progress.

Yulia Pavlenko's accolade stems from her innovative E-Export School educational initiative, delivered through online webinars. Launched in 2016, this program was designed to equip Ukrainian entrepreneurs with the tools required to navigate international marketplaces. Over the years, the school has successfully hosted more than 200 interactive events in both online and offline formats.

"I am deeply passionate about our complimentary training sessions for future e-commerce experts and have poured my heart and soul into Ukrposhta's E-Export School. I firmly believe that Ukraine has untapped e-export potential. With the grant accompanying this award, we intend to launch a fresh series of open webinars in the coming autumn, focusing on guiding individuals on venturing into global markets via online platforms. Stay tuned for announcements," shared Yulia Pavlenko upon receiving the award.

The endorsed project, which resonated with award organizers, introduces an educational curriculum targeting the growth of small businesses within Ukraine. The curriculum emphasizes the nuances of exporting through prominent global online platforms like eBay, Etsy, Amazon, Shopify, Allegro, Wish, and Google Shopping.

This initiative will cater to two distinct groups of participants: internally displaced artists, designers, and craft producers; as well as local entrepreneurs and small businesses that currently operate within domestic markets but seek to expand onto international platforms.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Yulia on her remarkable achievement! May her unwavering dedication continue to drive the realization of her vision and aspirations.
