MIM Continues its Partnership with the National Bank of Ukraine

The MIM Business School and the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) launched the second stage of its cooperation project by holding the presentation of the new program for the NBU’s talent pool.
Prof. Iryna Tykhomyrova, MIM’s president and Dr. Oleksiy Vynogradov, MIM’s VP, Dr. Virginijus Kundrotas, MIM’s permanent visit professor and the dean of the Adizes Graduate School together with the Mr. Roman Borysenko, the deputy Chairman of the NBU conducted the welcome meeting. At this meeting, Ms. Oksana Chechyna, senior HR manager for the NBU presented the HR development program.
At this stage, the program is targeting the leadership and managerial skills. Mr. Borysenko said, “The NBU board understand the importance of fostering managerial talent. Those people are future leaders who will be critical for the NBU strategy implementation.” He also expressed the NBU appreciation of MIM’s efforts. He stressed that positive impact of MIM’s efforts was clear from the very beginning. “We believe that MIM’s community is yet another positive factor of improved performance,” Mr. Borysenko said, “Not only it enhances interaction and collaboration across regulators but also promotes better understanding between the private and public sectors.”
The program for the NBU is underpinned by the MIM’s experience of cooperation with the banking sector and is designed to meet the regulator’s expectations. “The MIM was instrumental in the development of the national banking system. In the early noughties each and every bank had MIM’s graduates on its board,” Prof. Tykhomyrova said. “We are sure that our experience will be useful for the NBU.”
Previous program participants shared their experiences. Mr. Vitaly Batkovsky, deputy head of the Statistics and Reporting Department mentioned very special MIM’s atmosphere which inspires to work hard. He also mentioned that classes at MIM helped him to improve his people’s skills and learn how to work together towards the set goals.
