MIM Business School welcomes Ms. Olena Kiryanova, the new Information Center at MIM Business School. Prior to joining MIM’s administration team Olena has taught conflicts at MIM’s pre-MBA “Management and Leadership” program.
“The course falls into two main constituents. Firstly, it covers conflict behavior, strategies, personal conflict drivers and personality types. Secondly, we discuss conflict structure, and basic conflict management techniques which help to make a conflict constructive,” Olena told us.
Olena delivers its course interactively, with numerous small group assignments, role plays, and cases. “The cases are selected according to the program participants’ experience,” Olena said. “Mostly, we are working with live cases.”
Personal confidential profiling complements the curriculum. “By personal profiling, we help our participants develop themselves and improve their conflict behaviors and strategies. Such profiling is very important for managers,” Olena added. According to her, “Emotional intelligence is critical for managers. Our profiling helps to identify the bottlenecks, empathy channels, stress resistance, etc”.
Olena authored 40 publications on HR management, personal effectiveness, labor market, and youth employment. Two of her books are included to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine list of recommended reading. She has 14 years of teaching, consulting and training activities.
