The tragic consequences of war include civilian and military deaths as well as a ruined future. Although it may be difficult to plan during war, education can lay the foundation for a better future. Iryna Tykhomyrova, the President of MIM-Kyiv, recently spoke about the importance of education as a sign of sanity and resistance. In an interview with the Executive Excellence publication from Spain, she shared about the horrifying early days of war when MIM-Kyiv's building was damaged, as well as the partnerships that helped the school survive and bounce back.

In her conversation with Federico Fernandez de Santos Ortiz, editor-in-chief of the publication, Prof. Tykhomyrova recollected the fog of the first days of invasion and the first steps taken to help the business community. She also mentioned the powerful support of the international academic community and their help. The school had to rebuild the basement space into a bomb shelter suitable for teaching.
