MIM-KYIV SIGNS MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION IN WITH THE EXPORT AGENCY OF TAJIKISTAN AND LAUNCHES EXPORTERS SCHOOL
26 May 2021
On May 25, Iryna Tykhomyrova, MIM-Kyiv’s president, and Shavkat Bobozoda, director of the Export Agency of Tajikistan signed the Memorandum of Cooperation. Both parties are looking forward to expanding the cooperation, in particular, continue to teach national exporters.
MIM-Kyiv started cooperation with Tajikistan in March 2021 by delivering specially developed training programs to the managers of the Export Agency of Tajikistan and SUE “Tajinvest”. The programs are designed to train the trainers for companies-exporters and businesses looking for external funding.
At this point, the exporters' program is being transformed into the Exporters’ School. Iryna Tykhomyrova discussed this project at the Bactria Food 2021 forum in Bokhtar. She said: “Exporting is a challenging undertaking even with a good product. It requires special knowledge in international law, insurance, and finance. Cross-cultural negotiation skills are critical. Due to the bold initiative of the Tajik government and Mr. Bobozoda, the CEO of the Export Agency of Tajikistan, we launched the program for exporters supported by donors. The program is developing and gaining sustainability. We are talking about the Exporter's School that will help improve export activities.”
Iryna Tykhomyrova mentioned that Bactria Food 2021 is a founding event that is critical for the enhancement of trade and expanding business networks in Central Asia and beyond. Mr. Bobozoda suggested making the event annual.
The Forum was dedicated to the latest trends of horticultural business, cross-border trade, marketing, export promotion, and compliance with export market requirements. Trade fairs and networking complemented the schedule of the event.
MIM-Kyiv hopes for further fruitful cooperation.
