MIM’s Vice-President Participates in the Annual Event at Harvard’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness

On December 4 – 6 Dr. Vyacheslav Pokotylo, MIM’s Vice President and professor participated in the Microeconomics of Competitiveness (MOC) seminar in Boston.
Vyacheslav has represented Ukraine and MIM in the Harvard’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness Microeconomics of Competitiveness Network since 2013. Not only such participation makes MIM the only institution in Ukraine eligible to teach the MOC course at MIM but also use Harvard Business School cases and network with the peers from 120 institutions from all over the world.

Such prominent Harvard Business School faculty as Prof. Michael Porter, Dr. C. Ketels, Dr. H. Takeuchi etc. taught at the seminar. Moreover, various materials were made accessible due to the specialized internet platform. The seminar included the presentation of the survey of clusters surveys performed by the participants from Italy, Germany, Mexico, Thailand, and Romania. Analysis of the political system of the USA by business analytics methodologies and techniques were also represented at the seminar.
Many universities and business schools from the MOC network teach the course enrooted in Prof. Porter’s ideas at their master's programs. At MIM the full-scale MOC course is the part of the MBA in PA program. Its elements are incorporated in the MBA, SE MBA, and some PMD programs.
