Golf simulation develops business strategy skills

Playing golf is a good complement to any business. It is instrumental for practicing strategic thinking, a better understanding of the counterparts and their behaviors, and networking.
Golf simulation training helps to practice many soft skills. Thus, it is included in the Management Leadership Pre-MBA program. Oleksandr Sudarkin, the program director stresses out three main golf rules: Play the course as you find it and play the ball as it lies. Play by the Rules.
“So far, managers, especially those working internationally should either play golf or understand the game. The game requires mental efforts and helps to keep mental and physical health throughout life. It is also good when honing your achievers' skill set, not to mention that a lot of deals are stricken in golf courses.
A game of golf is a good tester for your counterparts. How they behave when stressed, how they follow the rules, how they achieve and lose are well reflected in the golf course. It is a good test of a character,” Oleksandr Sudarkin explains.
Yevhenia Kubakh, Pre-MBA “M&A” program participant said that golf looks like living-breathing chess. She shared her experience: “It was my first experience. It was new for my mind and it was new for my brain. This new exercise is very useful, especially now when we are limited in our movements. I agree that golf is a mind game that helps you fine-tune the strategic activities and train your brain. You have to keep in mind a lot of things.”
Cosmos Golf, MIM-Kyiv’s partner provided the simulator where the students could try their hands and enjoy the experience.
