COME BACK ALIVE FOUNDATION HEADED BY MIM-KYIV ALUM TO OPEN THE US REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE
06 October 2022
Taras Chmut, MIM-Kyiv alum, and director of the Come Back Alive Foundation plans to open the US representative office by the end of 2022. He shared this plan during the online conference conducted by Forbes.
- Our turnover has grown by 580% from five million hryvnias annually to five billion since February 24, 2022. At the beginning of the war, we faced public outrage because we could not help everyone. However, those who work in export know how long it takes to purchase, clear customs, etc. in wartime. No matter how much money you have, you cannot bring goods in 2 – 3 weeks. We established very good relations with our partners and coped with the situation. Unfortunately, we could not manage interaction with the government yet. It is difficult to work with enforcement agencies. The legal framework does not encourage our activities. But we are finding ways to work effectively, Taras Chmut says.
The “Come Back Alive” enjoys unprecedented levels of public trust. Taras Chmut believes that brand development and fundraising activities promoted trust. He says that fundraising is among the top priorities for the next year. They also plan to recruit more people to meet ambitious objectives.
