Iryna Tykhomyrova, MIM-Kyiv president said at the National Forum “Ukraine-30. Science and Education”.
The value of education is created by learning when people master skills, open their eyes, widen their horizons, and become confident to shape the future. Acquisition of critical thinking, planning techniques, and stress resistance are typical for business education.
“Each business school is developing its community. During the Kyiv Economic Forum Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba said that he did not trust an MBA degree. He mentioned that working 24/7 was enough. However, Mr. Ma and his executive team have MBA degrees from the most prestigious business schools, including CEIBS, global #2 according to the Financial Times ranking. If you are as ambitious as Mr. Ma, you need your team who you trust, speak a common language and enjoy mutual trust and respect. Education is the best way to build your team and develop all those capabilities and attitudes,” Iryna Tykhomyrova commented. In her opinion, the Ukrainian business community does not pay enough attention to the global agenda.
“In 2019, before the pandemic, we conducted Facing the Future International Forum. Last year, Michael Porter was a keynote speaker of the online forum. We conducted and hosted several more events. We have always been doing international conferences in Ukraine rather than Ukrainian conferences with foreign speakers. We believe that in such a way we bring international agenda to our business people.”
“We have recently entered the Tajik market. I think it is the first event of this kind when Ukrainians are exporting business knowledge and transfer our business skills. When I look at our project, I understand that we are ready to share our achievements and be ambassadors of Ukrainian business in the region. Business projects usually follow educational programs. We are happy to pave the way for Ukrainian business,” Iryna Tykhomyrova told.
